How to Create a Popup Banner Campaign

Popup Banners are indispensable in today's e-commerce due to their attractiveness. With these banners, new products or current discounts can be announced on eCommerce sites.


Let's see what are the steps to create this campaign!

Step 1. Login to Segmentify's panel.

Step 2. Select the Behavioural Targeting module from the sidebar.




Step 3. On the Behavioural Targeting page that opens, select Popup Banner from the sidebar.




Step 4. Click on the Add Popup Banner button to go to the campaign creation page.




Step 5. Fill in the required fields to create the campaign on the page that opens. These fields and their explanations are given in detail below:





Popup Banner Edit Screens


  1. Title: This field indicates the title of the Popup Banner campaign. Visitors will see it on the banner.

  2. Background Image URL: In this field, the URL of the image to be used as the background image of the Popup Banner must be entered.

  3. Target URL: In this field, the URL of the page that visitors will be directed to when they click on the Popup Banner is entered.

  4. This section contains the titles of the metrics that can be added to the Popup Banner campaign. These metrics are already displayed on the campaign edit screen. Metrics on the editing screen can be hidden by clicking on them.

  • Position: The position of the Popup Banner on the page can be adjusted.

  • Timing & Frequency: The time and frequency of the Popup Banner can be set.

  • Target Audience: The Popup Banner can be set to display the target audience.


  1. Overlay: Along with the overlay feature, the focus feature is added to the popup.

  2. Vertical Align: The position of the Popup Banner can be adjusted at the top, middle, or bottom of the page.

  3. Horizontal Align: The position of the Popup Banner can be set on the left, middle, or right side of the page.

  4. Campaign Name: A campaign name must be entered in this field. With this name, the campaign can be found easily on the panel.

  5. Start Date: It is the field where the start date of the campaign is selected. The campaign is published with the date selected from this area. 

  6. End Date: It is the field where the end date of the campaign is selected. The campaign stops running as of the date selected from this area.

  7. Device Types: With this field, the devices the campaign will run on are selected. There are options such as Web and App.

  8. Pages To Show: The pages on which the Popup Banner will run can be selected from this field.

  9. Advanced Configuration: In this area, operations such as banner design, manual filters, and printing of data are carried out.

  10. Go Test: With this button, the campaign can be saved as a draft.

  11. Go Live: With this button, it is delivered to the subscribers according to its timing.

  12. Timing: The Popup Banner can be displayed right after a visit to a website, a few seconds after a visit, or when an exit-intent happens. 

  13. Frequency: The display frequency of the Popup Banner can be adjusted. For example, once in a session.

  14. Target Audience: 

  • Visitor Segment: The campaign can be filtered according to segments.

  • Visitor Type: The campaign can be filtered according to visitor types.
