In this article, we are going to examine the After Search
Input.
When a query is entered on the search box for a
product, it is called After Search.
With this campaign, it becomes much easier for customers to reach the product they are looking for.
After Search recommends products, brands or keywords about
the input we entered. Let's explore more about the After Search input and how we create it.
As seen in the image, the campaign is comprised of some main areas. The areas are listed below to help you understand easily.
With Campaign Name section we name the campaign.
Device Types section allows deciding on which devices the
campaign will run. They are Web(Desktop & Mobile App) and Native App.
In Advanced Config, operations such as search box design and
manual filters are applied.
Using Go Test button we test the search campaign in draft
mode before going live. Only test users can
view test campaigns, and you can be a test user by using Segmentify Chrome
Plugin or you can just add “?_sgm_test=on” at the end of the URL.
With Go Live button we go live the campaign which means the
campaign will be shown to all the eCommerce users.
Each one of the fields for Category, Brand, Keyword and
Product indicate an asset. In Assets section we edit these fields. We select a number of asset items and these options:
a. Clickable: If we want to redirect the customers
to the relevant URL when they click the topic under Categories and Popular
Categories assets, we click this option.
b. Highlight: The text on the Category asset that is matching the search query is can be highlighted if wanted.
We should know that highlight can be done
only in brand and category assets.
c. Category tree View: If we want to show the categories
as Category Tree in the search box we click this option.
By using the Products section we set how many products
will come on mobile and desktop.
In the Asset Texts section, we prepare the asset titles as
will appear on the onsite search box. The titles for Popular Categories,
Popular Brands and Popular Keywords will appear in the search box before the customers
make a search. The titles for Categories, Brands will appear in the search box
when the customers start to make a search.
